Last week on the 25th of January 2025, I saw an open source project called anyon_e. Seeing this post had inspired me to attempt the same project but in my own way instead of using their open source schematics.
This project is still early on due to lack of intermediate funds due to funding my University course, however I hope to be able to learn FreeCAD in the meantime so I am able to 3D print prototype models of the main body.
My main concerns are finding a reasonably priced 4K display that will be easily compatible with the main board I plan to go with which is the Orange-Pi-CM5 and the tablet board. I hope to be able to use the on-board 4 pin DSI port.
This unfortunately marks the end of the research I have done into this project. This will be a long term project for me.
The main usage of this laptop will be to replace the ThinkPads I have used in the past and run Fedora to enable me to continue web development and learning of languages such as C
