Using MacOS for 30 days.

The start

Welcome to my third blog post!
Over the next 30 days I will be switching from Windows 11 to MacOS Monterey. Monterey is the last supported version on my Macbook Pro 2015” 15”. I bought the system for only 40 euros on Marktplaats, it comes with an quad core i7 4770HQ and 16gb ram and of course the retina display. However I will be using the macbook just like my desktop with my 1440p 27” monitor.

My Plans:

Over the 30 days, I am expecting to use it for daily usage, internet browsing, watching youtube, emails alongside my university studies. I have python courses coming up but MacOS comes with python preinstalled however I will still make sure I have a good version installed. I am also going to be moving to C# and Dot Net development for personal projects and for my portfolio so I have already installed the latest Dot Net SDK and the C# development kit on VSCode.

The Future

I hope once the 30 days are over I will keep using MacOS as my daily driver, I like the ecosystem and integration with other apple devices, however likely with more powerfull hardware such as a mac mini. Possibly overtaking my usage from my gaming pc.

More info to come as I go through the days
